Rewild Kitchen

Rewild Kitchen

The Rewild Kitchen offers a range of  food, drink and foodie events to compliment the rewilding escapes on offer.  Campfire wellness, wild dining, wild craft, being outdoors, group interaction and obviously the nutritional benefits from eating homegrown platters go hand in hand with our activities.  Our herbs, edible flowers and weeds are grown onsite and fruits and other ingredients are foraged, again activities you will find on our workshops and events.  In particular, our homegrown herbal teas are close to our heart.  We love people to ask questions and by interacting with our teas and breathing in the aromas and learning about the ingredients a simple cup of tea becomes a special experience.  Find out what herbs will work for you!  Want something a little stronger, why not try a tipple from our spirit infusions, want no alcohol ask for one of our shrubs – we’ve try to think of everyone.  All a bit to ‘woo woo’ for you, then try a mojito or spritz – we have a whole range!!

Rewild Supper Nights  Koppanyszanto’s Falusi Vendégasztal” Thursday to Sunday Low Season 6pm  High Season 7pm

The “Village Table” is an initiative to support rural tourism by enabling small producers to prepare mainly regional & traditional dishes, generally cooked and prepared outdoors and oven-baked or cooked in a cauldron to share with visitors and guests.  The ingredients are grown onsite, locally produced or foraged.  The idea is the village guest table experience offers not just gastronomic delight, but also an insight into Hungarian food and traditions.  At Koppany Pines we support this initiative as we see this as a way to support our local community and give back for the support we have received.

Each evening we welcome you to our table, our aim is to cook outdoors whenever possible and based on the harvest of the day. Starts from 6pm

Afternoon Tea – Traditional or Botantical ?

The British tradition of High Tea began in the mid 1700s as an afternoon meal usually served between 3 and 4 o’clock. Initially, it was a meal for the working man, taken standing up or sitting on tall stools, thus ‘high’.  In the 1840s the english ‘upper class’ began Afternoon Tea as a social gathering.  Initially, historians will tell us, it started with the Duchess of Bedford who started feeling peckish before dinner so she requests some snacks with her cup of tea.  This became her routine and she was soon inviting guests to share in her tea and treats and AFTERNOON TEA was born.
