Koppány Pines Lodge is a 100-year-old Hungarian guesthouse — a panziók — that we’ve restored and made our own. It’s for people who love being in the countryside but prefer a proper bed to a tent. We kept the decor in keeping with the traditional hungarian style but given it our own twist. The walls in the lodge are built really thick from loam (mud), it was an old building technique used to moderate the extreme temperatures of summer and winter, so the lodge rooms remain cool all summer. We have addition fan units, should the need arise. Each unit is accessed from a central reception area, which you will find tea and coffee facilities and a small seating area.
Linen and towels are provided, but not towels for swimming, tea and coffee on arrival.
Parking is offered for free – One space per booking For additional booking please advise.

Bluebird Apartment
From 25,000 HUF (approx. €65) per night for 2 guests. Local tourist tax: 300 HUF per person per night.
Small dogs welcome on request (one-off €10 charge).
A self-contained apartment with its own kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom — everything you need entirely to yourself. Sleeps 2, or 3 on request. Perfect if you want complete privacy and the freedom to come and go at your own pace. Breakfast is bookable separately at The Nook & Fire Kitchen (daily except Tuesdays).
Rose Room
18,000 HUF (approx. €47) per night for 2 guests. Local tourist tax: 300 HUF per person per night
A cosy en-suite double room in the oldest part of the lodge, built in the traditional Hungarian way with thick loam walls and no windows. It sounds unusual — but it means the room stays beautifully cool in summer and genuinely dark at night. Guests regularly tell us it’s one of the best nights’ sleep they’ve ever had. A firm favourite with cyclists and motorcyclists, and genuinely excellent value for a night on the road or a longer stay. Breakfast is bookable at The Nook & Fire Kitchen (daily except Tuesdays).
The Whole Lodge (Exclusive use)

Book both the Bluebird Apartment and the Rose Room together, exclusively for your group. Sleeps up to 6. Ideal for a group of friends or a family gathering who want the whole place to themselves. Lodge combines both the Bluebird Apartment and the Rose Room into one exclusive booking: a king-size double bedroom, a second double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a separate lounge with sofa bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a coffee and study area for quiet mornings. You also have exclusive use of the comfortable morning room — a lovely extra living space to spread out, read, or gather over tea and coffee. The thick loam walls keep the whole building naturally cool through the Hungarian summer.
BELL-TENT B&B ROOMS
Proper beds. Firepits. Forest air. No compromises.
Our bell tents offer a step up from camping without losing the wildness of it. Sleep on a real bed, cook over fire, and wake to birdsong in the Koppány Valley. Ideal for your transit stop, as a base for exploration or a place to simply rest and recharge set in nature. Take time to enjoy our kitchen garden, hospitality and relax in the peace of nature or sit by the pond and listen to the gentle sound of water. Showers and toilets are in the main building, a short walk away.We have a communal kitchen for occasional use with with everything you need — cutlery, plates, a small gas stove and washing up facilities, but note we consider this to be a B&B room, not a self-catered unit. Breakfast is served at The Nook & Fire Kitchen and consists of a simple breakfast tray (upgrades and addons possible) every day except Tuesday, when a cold basket breakfast will be provided. Outside your door: a firepit, outdoor seating, and direct access to the Koppány Valley walking trails. Bikes to borrow. Honesty bar in The Nook.

Our smaller bell tent B&B room, made for two. Set in a wildflower meadow in the Koppány Valley, Peace is a 5-metre canvas tent with a proper double bed, linen, and everything you need for a quiet, unhurried stay in nature.

Our larger bell tent B&B room, comfortable for couples and small groups of up to four. Set in the same wildflower meadow as Peace, Tranquility is a 7-metre canvas tent that can be arranged as one double and two singles, or four single beds — whatever suits your group. The same meadow setting, the same firepit evenings, the same birdsong mornings — just more space and more beds.
AMENITIES
We have no swimming pool, you can relax at our pond with it’s own waterfall and relaxation area. Offsite visit a private fishing lake within a 20-minute stroll, or borrow one of our bikes. Two thermal spas are a short 20-minute drive away — one is also reachable by public transport. Guests regularly tell us a trip to the baths is one of the highlights of their stay.

Relaxed, peaceful stay in rural Hungary with wonderful hosts. Had all the facilities we might need.
Very lovingly furnished farmhouse with use of the garden. The garden offers a variety of seating options, hammocks and deck chairs for eating and relaxing. The hosts speak English and create a particularly pleasant atmosphere.
