Escape the Noise. Pause at Koppany Pines

A PLACE TO PAUSE

A pause begins when you make space for it.

Morning coffee in the sunshine.

Testimonials

Stayed here for 3 nights with my minivan. What a treasure!! A perfect place to unwind. At this cosy and natural site you are welcomed by a lovely english couple who will even throw you a pizza-nite or teach you how to throw an axe. The natural pond is lovely, aswell as the flowering meadow. Definitely recommended to campers/travellers who enjoy a quiet place that brings you back to basic.

Gerdine Vermeer

Very very good place to hang out and chill out and settle your mind for a couple of days!  This place is a really nice and easygoing place to hang out for a few days and chill. The hosts Mark and Debbie really take care of you and give you a high quality time to enjoy the stay. The breakfast is very good and you can choose from a list of items. The rooms and other facilities are very clean and also give a nice easygoing feeling as well. There is a possibility to dine at the terrace and drink something at the bar as well.

The Nook & Fire Kitchen

The Nook is the warmth of Koppany Pines

— a place to read, linger, share a glass from the honesty bar, or do nothing in particular.

Just enough space to hear yourself think again. Where mornings begin slowly and evenings never rush.

Served here every morning except Tuesdays: seasonal, unhurried, made with produce from our own garden. .

Falusi Vendégasztal
Shared Dining

From Thursday to Sunday, we offer a shared table dinner of fire-cooked, herb-led food that changes with the season. Each week brings a rhythm of slow dining and connection.

Rooted Experiences

We are building our calendar into something bigger with our signature events, currently on the last Friday off the month, Rooted Experiences – Fire & Fizz opens our gates wider to include non-staying guests — music drifts through the valley, neighbours gather, and the night stretches into something altogether more alive.

Easy to Reach, Hard to Rush

Koppányszántó is on the edge of a traditional Hungarian village, barely changing in decades. Walk out of the gate and straight onto the Koppany Valley Trails.  This is a part of Hungary that hasn’t rushed to catch up — and guests always say that’s exactly what they needed. It is renowned for its tranquil environment, featuring rolling vineyards and historical wine press houses. The region is highly rural and great for outdoor activities, offering the 51.2-kilometer Koppány Valley Hiking Trail for extended camping and walking adventures.

Drive 20 minutes and you’re at one of three thermal baths. Drive 40 minutes and you’re at Balaton Lake. 40 minutes from Balaton Lake – Close to Kaposvár and Pécs -Walking distance to public transport – Around 2 hours from Budapest

An ideal base for gentle exploration — or no plans at all.

REWILD WITH HYGGE

Modern life is noisy. Rewild with Hygge is our invitation to step away from the pressure, pace and distraction of everyday life and return to something simpler. Nature reconnects us. Warmth grounds us. Together they create a slower, more intentional way of living — one that values presence over pressure and connection over constant activity. This is the philosophy behind everything we do at Koppány Pines.
