KOPPANY PINES

Bed & Breakfast  & CAMPERSTOP

Koppány Pines — for grown-up escapes, deep rest, and slow, soulful living.

Hidden in the Koppány Valley in rural Tolna County, Koppány Pines is an adults-only retreat rooted in true Hungarian vendégszeretet — heartfelt hospitality, open doors, and food made to be savoured slowly.

Mornings begin with paprika eggs, local cheeses, garden herbs, and warm, freshly baked rolls. Evenings linger over fire-cooked dishes and shared tables. This is not just breakfast — it’s a place to pause, connect, and truly taste.

Outside you have a natural pond, kitchen gardens bursting with seasonal produce, fruit trees, herbal beds, and wildflowers you can eat straight from the stem. Walk directly into rolling countryside, or soak in nearby thermal baths — mineral-rich, restorative, timeless.

And when night falls, the real magic begins.

No noise. No rush. No light pollution.
Just stillness, dark skies, and stars that feel close enough to touch.

Fire, Food & Evenings That Gather People Together

From Thursday to Sunday, The Nook & Fire Kitchen comes alive with intimate shared-table evenings — seasonal, fire-cooked food made to be lingered over. Each week brings a rhythm of slow dining and connection, while our calendar builds into something bigger. On the last Friday and first Sunday of the month, Dine & Discover opens the gates wider — music drifts through the valley, neighbours gather, and the night stretches into something altogether more alive.

Rooted in the Koppány Valley

Set on the edge of the Koppány Valley trails in southern Transdanubia, Koppány Pines is surrounded by forest, vineyards, water, and rolling countryside.

Step outside and you’re straight into the landscape — walking routes, wild swimming spots, and quiet tracks that weave through the valley.

Positioned on the edge of a traditional rural village, life here remains simple and deeply rooted in local rhythms — offering a glimpse into a Hungary that has changed little over time, while still allowing you space to fully retreat.

A short drive brings you to some of Hungary’s most celebrated thermal baths, while the surrounding region is rich with seasonal food, wine, and open land.

Remote enough to feel away from it all, yet rich in what matters.

LOCAL LAKE

Why not take order a picnic to take to the local lake?  A flat, 20 minute walk from the campsite brings you to this idyllic private fishing lake, where the owner allow us access for our guests.

WALKING

Adventure awaits at Koppany Pines.
From your doorstep, the Koppany Valley trails unfold in every direction.
Step out, wander, or simply pause beneath towering pines.

THERMAL BATHS

Three thermal baths are just a short drive’
Igal, Tamási, and Dombóvár each offer their own mineral-rich waters.
Soak, unwind, and let the  natural healing embrace you.

Very very good place to hang out and chill out and settle your mind for a couple of days!  This place is a really nice and easygoing place to hang out for a few days and chill. The hosts Mark and Debbie really take care of you and give you a high quality time to enjoy the stay. The breakfast is very good and you can choose from a list of items. The rooms and other facilities are very clean and also give a nice easygoing feeling as well. There is a possibility to dine at the terrace and drink something at the bar as well.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my minivan. What a treasure!! A perfect place to unwind. At this cosy and natural site you are welcomed by a lovely english couple who will even throw you a pizza-nite or teach you how to throw an axe. The natural pond is lovely, aswell as the flowering meadow. Definitely recommended to campers/travellers who enjoy a quiet place that brings you back to basic.
