Koppany Pines is a wild, natural, and organic retreat, nestled on the edge of an ancient forest along the Koppany Valley walking trails in Hungary. Designed as a tranquil, adult-only (16+) sanctuary, it marries the timeless rhythms of rural Hungary with a 21st-century vision of living simply, sustainably, and wholeheartedly.  Here, life slows to the pace of nature. The whisper of the pines, the call of deer in the forest, the sweep of hawks overhead, and the ever-changing light across the valley become part of your daily rhythm.

Why a Rural Village?

Because real change asks for space.  In a rural village, the distractions of modern life soften: no rush hour, no endless noise, no constant digital pull. Instead, you’re surrounded by natures rhythms, birdsong at dawn, the hum of bees in wildflowers, the quiet crackle of fire at night.

Here, life is stripped back to essentials: food grown slowly, neighbours who know your name, the natural world woven into every moment. In this simplicity, you find room to breathe.

Stepping into its cool embrace is like hitting a reset button. The water wakes every cell, clears the mind, and brings you fully into the present. Wild swimming is more than exercise — it’s liberation. Weightless, free, held by nature, you can let go of the swirl and simply be.  This is why we gather here. In nature, restlessness finds balance. In the water, clarity returns. At Koppany Pines, the forest and pond aren’t just the setting — they are your companions on the journey from restless to rooted.

Koppany Pines is also open for shorter stays and camperstops. Whether you’re passing through with a camper, caravan or tent wanting the facilities of a campsite, looking for the comfort of our panzió rooms, or wanting a wilder weekend experience in our bell tents (complete with proper beds for a cosy night’s sleep), you’ll find a welcome place here – JUST REMEMBER TO BOOK IN ADVANCE! 

Breakfast is served daily (except Tuesday) and our village guest table dinner service is bookable Thursday to Sunday.  Take a look at what events are on at ‘The Nook’. Our events range from craft afternoons, forest craft days to Friday fun and Sunday chillouts.
